Here are a few of the questions that I get asked most often. If you can’t find the answer to your question below, please get in touch.
When do I pay for my pet portrait?
I’ll send you an invoice upon completion. Once this invoice has been paid your portrait will be sent to my framers for production and delivery.
I may also ask for a 20% non refundable deposit to be paid up front.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept all major credit & debit cards, Google and Apple Pay, and PayPal.
I also accept Klarna, which is an interest free way to spread the cost.
Credit status depending, you could choose to either buy now and pay in 30 days, or spread the cost over 3 months.
For example, an order amount of £125 could be spread as follows:
Payment 1 at time of order: £41.66
Payment 2 in 30 days: £41.67
Payment 3 in 60 days: £41.67
How long does a Pet Portrait take?
The honest answer is: it varies, and it’s completely dependent on my current workload and how complex the portrait is.
As a general guide I usually aim to have pet portraits completed within a couple of weeks, but this isn’t guaranteed.
Delivery is then usually around 5 – 7 working days on top, although express options are available (for an extra charge).
For last minute orders or if you need a portrait for a particular date, please contact me and I’ll try my best to accommodate you. If it’s not possible, I also sell gift vouchers. These are a great alternative, especially if you’d like the recipient to be more involved.
Do you involve the owner in the pet portrait process?
It’s entirely up to you how involved you’d like to be. Some owners like the surprise and would rather wait until the finished portrait arrives at their door. Others like regular updates along the way. It’s your choice.
That said, I will always send an early stage sketch or a colour blocked proof to make sure that you’re happy with the composition. It’s then up to you if you’d like further updates.
Can I choose a background?
I’ll usually paint a plain colour background that suits the rest of the portrait, or I can use elements of the original photo’s background where appropriate.

How much does delivery cost?
All delivery charges are shown either in the item descripton on during checkout
Standard delivery is included in the price of the Portrait. This is for 1x framed/unframed portrait. For framed prints you can upgrade to express shipping for an additional charge (see below).
If you’d like to order additional prints, delivery is £5.00 for unframed and £8.00 for framed. An express option is also available for framed prints for £3 extra.

The delivery cost ranges from 94p to £3.74 depending on the pack size and usually takes between 4-7 working days.
The delivery charge will vary depending on the size of canvas and delivery speed that you choose. The delivery charge will be displayed during checkout.

If you live outside of the UK and you’d like to purchase a special edition, a framed or unframed print, or commission a pet portrait, please get in touch for a shipping cost quote.
How long does delivery take?
For the UK, delivery is usually around 3 – 5 working days. An express option is available for framed prints for an extra charge.
If you’re ordering a framed item, please allow a few extra days for the frame to be made.
For international orders, it can vary. While your order will normally be with you much sooner, it’s best to allow a minimum of 14 working days for your order to arrive.
Do you have a refund/return policy?

Why is the glass on my framed print blue?
All frames are shipped with the protective blue polythene cover still on the face of the glass. Simply peel it off.
